Ok so you just got a G harmonica and you want to know what harmonica notes it has. Harmonica Notes feels your pain. You want to learn to play harmonica but how, oh god, how do you do it? I have an answer for you. I surfed around the internet, looked through books and bugged the guys at the harmonica store and got you guys a few things.
First comes the harmonica notes

Having the harmonica notes doesn’t do much for you unless you can read music so I will also have a harmonica tab for you to.

Hey Milton from sweden, thanks for stopping by! I am not a music publisher so I am not tooled up for writing and posting musical notation, sorry about that. Besides, my site is a journal of my NOTES on learning harmonica and not a site about musical notation. Besides, tabs are the most common musical notation on the internet and in the books I have read. If you let me know what kind of music you want notes for, I can recommend a good book or two.

hey, I’d like to know, if there’s a very big difference if i play your tabs on C harmonica? I’m absolutely green at it but I’m sooo eager to learn Ain’t no sunshine :>
Not really, the note structure from diatonic harmonica to diatonic harmonica is the same. The only time you will run into problems with having the wrong key is if you are playing along with music or another harmonica in a different key. I have noticed that some stuff sounds a little weird when you play in a different key but it’s not common. Besides, when you do get a G harmonica you will already know how to play it.
i want to know the notes on the harmonica, like what note the first hole is when blown into and when it is inhaled? and i think thats what milton wanted to know.
Hey “The Islander” You are running into a different problem. I lost my image that I had up for the notes. He was looking for classic notation for the songs. Thanks for bringing this up to me, I will have the issue fixed and have a new set of G Harmonica Notes in the post in a little while.

Don’t make a big deal out of C-Harmonica and G-Harmonica, as at the end of the day the holes are the same, i.e. holes 1 to 10.

I want to buy a 10 hole chromatic harmonica in key of G (because I like the tone ) where can I get one. Plenty of cheap ones in C but I really want a NEW Cheapish G. I have played ., Mainly for my own pleasure, for a few years and really want to start again. Please help.

Aim for a $30-$40 price point. That will get you a good harmonica of any brand. I Personally like Hohner Blues Harp. Special 20, Marine Band ETC are also good Hohner harps. That being said, There are other good harps out there.
